These hand poured taper candles in a delicate hue of white are created by well known Maestra Viviana in Oaxaca. Her family has been producing beeswax candles as three generations in their family workshop. Famed for their ornate traditional beeswax candles with natural dyes, this family constantly strives to develop new designs that speak to a contemporary audience. They pour every one of these beeswax candles by hand using the traditional processed passed down through their family. In order to bleach the beeswax from yellow to white, it’s mixed with fresh lime juice, heated, then a rounded piece of pottery is dipped into the hot mixture.
